From 2-5 June 2011 it’s time for the 8th Wacky Wine Festival in Robertson. Offering a big variety in program, the Wacky Wine Festival is one of the must-attend-events this fall.
Although this event is called the Wacky WINE Festival, there is much more to it that only wine tastings. The program ranges from olive and cheese tasting, live entertainment, art and crafts, fine dining to sports. Every family member, no matter if toddler or grandpa, will find something to be wacky about. It’s far more than a festival for wine experts. Even if you don’t have a clue about wine or you don’t even like it that much, you will still be able to enjoy yourself. Or you will turn in one yourself after having attended this event.
However, testing and drinking alcohol always comes along with a certain responsibility. As in previous years the Wacky Wine Festival is paying special attention to their ZERO TOLERANCE PROGRAM! Don’t drink and drive because it’s not cool! To support this attitude a designated driver program is hosted by the Wacky Wine Festival, register as a designated driver and get coupons for non-alcoholic drinks.
Being a designated driver doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on all the fun. You can either try one of the other countless culinary delights or do wine tasting the way it’s supposed to be. As the idea behind wine tastings is anyways to spit the tasted wine into a bucket. And let’s face it, a glass of wine during diner, is perfectly fine. Just watch your consumption and don’t risk your and other people’s safety.
In case you want to be a designated driver, but you are missing out on the right vehicle, contact us under Drive South Africa and we will fix you a suitable vehicle. And in case all your dedication was not enough and you could not resist the wine tastings, you can always stay over night and drive home the next morning.
